The writer is: Alex Garland from 28 Days Later. Hell, why not bring in Danny Boyle, the director from that film? We've seen that they can come up with a pretty unique and compelling product.
I'm wondering if they just want Jackson's name on there for its "brand value." Regardless, this is one video game property that sounds like it's being done properly for the big screen
