This is an old TV movie (well, 1997) that was produced for cable as memory serves. Otherwise, I can't call a whole lot about it...

just wondered whether anyone has seen it.

Just finally got a DVD of MATINEE... great great movie... deserves an SE!

the dvd itself is a joke so far... lousy picture, sound n othing special. at least it has the cute trailer.

What I dont get is why the first 10 minutes are in Widescreen and then it pops back to full screen... argh... ok, they apparently did that as long as the crdits roll, but I don't see why they needed the WS for them as they are place pretty much in the middle of the picture.

Shame on you!

As so many movies bombed by Mr. Dante I guess there will never be a better version of this available... well, it did cost only 3 bucks... sigh

I love MATINEE! The MCA/Universal laserdisc (which I still have) had all of the MANT! sequences self-contained following the movie...including a good amount of footage which didn't make the film proper.

A terrific gem of a movie, one of my favorite Dante films, and more than deserving of a superior DVD release.
