Looks like the extras for The Longest Day could be the same as those on the Region 2 version. Nice covers though.

To bleed every last cent out of it, per the usual multiple dipping of titles these studios do.

so what are these 'extended versions', 'director cuts' I thought they were all pretty much complete as it is or should 1 say long enough as it is? or is it the stupid colour version of Longest Day + unneeded extras??

anyone have any ideas on whats going to be in these?

As Eric states just another chance to rip the public off & how many unreleased movies are ???

happy viewing

Before I moved to the U.S. from England, I remember seeing Region 2 versions of The Longest Day and Patton. Anyway, I have included a link which reviews the two films.

PATTON was a full 2-Disc Special Edition already here (mainly a port of the deluxe laserdisc edition). I'm not sure if Fox is just rehashing it, or what, but it seems like overkill. Didn't they do a similar job on LONGEST DAY at a more recent point, too?
