Interesting. How would you describe his style / influences? And what's his history? Is he clasically trained? Or a keyboard composer whose orchestrator takes an active hand?

Hopper is a very talented composer and ranks up there with the likes of George Fenton, especially in terms of "Style." A big shadow to stand in, yes, but it is a worth comparison. His documentary scores for BBC are great and one in particular was released on CD and is worthy of tracking down: LAND OF THE TIGER.

One things for sure, that when this film comes out, and like other European composers who've raided Hollywood as of late, we are certainly almost guaranteed to hear more from him in the future... and that's a good thing, indeed.

Silimar to George Fenton? Well that is (pardon the pun) music to my ears! Fenton would have been my personal choice to replace John Williams, so this bodes well!
