This Week's Column: The March Mayhem Edition

#1 Post by AndyDursin »

Big column this week with Kino Lorber's March titles, from Richard Fleischer to Marty Feldman, '70s westerns, '80s obscurities and plenty more:

Andy

Choir Boys was a hit in the UK, not too sure why but it just kept on selling & after it's first run went out many double bills & late night shows. Its last run before tape was with the Wanderers in a double bill.

At some point I will re-visit this & it is certainly good that Kino look far & wide for titles.

So agree Andy, Kino Lorber is doing a fantastic job tapping into the kinds of hard-core movie buff titles we love to watch. Even if the movies are disappointing or were bombs, it's great that they are reaching deep into the catalog, especially now that Twilight Time is gone and labels like Shout and others are only operating at a fraction of their normal selves.

I'm extremely grateful their PR added me into their mailing list, I tend to get batches of their discs mostly a month early, so right now I'm starting my viewing of their April releases! I have to get ahead of it, they release so many and I like to actually sit down and watch as many as I can.
