THE BLACK CAULDRON Finally Hits Blu-Ray thru Disney Movie Club
Years too late to take full advantage of the market -- I'm fine with the 4K UHD streaming copy I bought for $5 a few months ago, to say nothing of the fact it's been available for Disney+ subscribers even longer than that -- but I'm sure folks still anchored to 1080p will be happy.

Re: THE BLACK CAULDRON Finally Hits Blu-Ray thru Disney Movie Club
I have 2 more movies to buy to complete my membership in the DMC. I used their deal to get some of my missing Marvel movies, completed the membership, then cancelled. I rejoined, did the 5 blu rays for a dollar or whatever, and finished the Marvels.
I just wish they'd put more of their old stuff on blu-ray as soon as it went up on Disney+, instead of waiting years.

You said it, I just canceled my DMC membership because of the lack of DMC Blu-Ray exclusives -- and of course they release a new title for the first time in 2 years right after I do so!
I could re-enroll but unless this is going to become a monthly thing I'm not going to bother. Like I wrote, I bought the 4K UHD (with Dolby Vision) of this for $4.99, and there's no real advantage to spending $20-$30 on a 1080p version of the same transfer (and like all the other DMC discs, it won't have extras either). If this were a UHD/BD combo, now we're talking -- but alas, it's not.
You're right, DMC should've kept these titles rolling out before Disney+ came around -- I'm sure they've lost a lot of their market value and missed their prime opportunity to release this, and many others still sitting on the shelf. They have all kinds of HD masters you can buy on Vudu/Itunes/Amazon, that are also on Disney+, and yet they stopped these releases completely for a couple of years.
That said if they finally get to SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES -- which still doesn't have an HD master -- I'll return!

Yeah- I mean, where is my Blu-ray of Flight of the Navigator? Or The Brave Little Toaster (which might be stuck in copyright hell)?
I did buy The Black Hole, 20000 Leagues Under the Sea, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Honey I Blew Up the Kids, Darby O'Gill , and the 3 Musketeers, so I guess I did get some good classic stuff out of it before Disney+.
And now the Warner Archive at WBshop is gone for good- but at least their Archive stuff has a store at Amazon now. I'm glad I ordered at their recent 4 for 44 sale, as it turned out to be their last!
