I bought a light-up magnifying glass off of Amazon a year ago, which has been a godsend for reading the track titles on the back of specific CDs. While it's nice they included this OOP book in this set, did no one consider how tiny the text would be when the book's dimensions were radically reduced to adhere to the size of a Blu-Ray case?

Glad I preordered, this must have really been limited as it sold out all over the place originally. It'll be worth a fortune if it's not repressed -- I sold my REAL GHOSTBUSTERS Time Life DVD set for $400+ a few months back.

Fandom is strong with this franchise -- glad I wasn't snoozing on it!! Also happy I saw it at Walmart for you too MJ. Did you check out the Preview Cut? That interests me a great deal as a buff.

Seems like Sony's leaving a lot of money on the table by not doing another pressing. Re-sellers jacking the price up on eBay doesn't put any more $$$ in Sony's pockets.

When I heard stories about this, I checked all of my discs, and thankfully I didn't get any duplicates. Sony done bungled this release, but good, and the horror stories I've read about Amazon sending out this bulky, collector's package in those thin, white shipper bags without any padding made me glad I went with Walmart.

DDD shipped it in a box and no dupes here.

Good to see they included that discarded Fort sequence from the first movie from the superior, recently discovered elements this time.

Kelly McGillis screen test is an interesting one. I love that Sony uncovered these, just as they did on the new Labyrinth 4k.

Great set, though there's a mistake there in that it's not the original ABC network TV version of GHOSTBUSTERS -- it's a much later one that includes most of the movie's profanity and none of the alternate takes from the "real" TV version.

The screen tests are fascinating. Kelly LeBrock a year before stardom, Denise Crosby, Melanie Mayron -- the Kelly McGillis reel runs a long time, I wonder if she was a late in the game dismissal before Sigourney got the part (did she test, or did they just give it to her?). Again, she was just a short time off from stardom in WITNESS and TOP GUN.
