Rough week at Warner Bros. after THE FLASH tanked, news spread that they intend to license HBO programs to Netflix, and now this terrible story that one of the last vestiges of quality cable programming had most of its major staff laid off.
This would be a hideous blow for movie fans and yet more evidence if you want access to the good stuff, it's going to be via procuring your own library however you do so (physical or digital).

Brutal. If heavy hitters like that can't convince them to try and save it I don't know what will.

Very sad. TCM used to be one of my favorite channels back when I had cable...could sit there and watch programming all day.

Crisis averted. But anyone relying on streaming and cable channels to solely supply their entertainment ought to have gotten the message by now!

This to me vindicates my decision years ago to rely only on physical content in my collection for what I watch. I never have to worry about losing access to something unless I decide to throw it away and feel remorseful about it later!
