Hopefully the rumors that KK is OUT (as well as her minions) will enable Disney to move forward positively with their IPs. It will take a long time to erase the memory of what KK did to these franchises...but at least she and her minions cannot get their hands on them anymore.

The fact that, um, "fan favorite" character Babu Frik is showing up in the next season of The Mandalorian is sadly evidence that at least some of the KK-era SW characters will endure.

I think that's a good ad. The music is miles better than the trailer, Indy on the horse doesn't look fake, and the de-aging is pretty darn good.

The trailer is "better" but doesn't instill me with any confidence. It might be moderately "fun" if they've managed to "fix" it via the extensive reshoots but anyone going in with any level of expectation that it's going to be "a lot better than CRYSTAL SKULL" -- or is going to be markedly better than any modern day Disney product, which this is -- I predict will be sorely disappointed.

One day, I hope we hear the true story of the making of this film, because it's undoubtedly gonna be far more fascinating than the movie itself...

So John wasn't lying after all...what a shocker! Screw Kennedy and her team. And Mangold too for that matter but he's just a clog in the Disney machine here so I don't blame him so much for this.

I think that new trailer with its "classic" Williams music and push towards Ford as a centerpiece is a telling sign a shift has happened. I'm not shocked but delighted this might be a mediocre timekiller to take Theo to after all!

I just know we will all be thrilled if there's some new ending where Indy isn't dead and Fleabag doesn't do much...knowing we've been following it for years...and that as lame as this film still probably will be, that it could've been much worse.

There's already evidence backing up everything Doomcock's been saying:

1. The budget is now officially being reported as a hair under $300 million -- the singular most expensive film in the DisneyLucasfilm portfolio. #2 was SOLO, a similarly nightmarish production that cost that much because they stopped shooting, replaced directors, and had to refilm half of it. SOUND FAMILIAR. There's no way this movie cost more than all the recent Star Wars films simply because of de-aging FX. Bears all the hallmarks of extensive, extensive retooling and costly reshoots.

2. In an interview with Ford this very week, CNN reported "old age jokes" were removed from "the script" by Ford -- this is as Doomcock notes a half-truth. Yes they were axed, but it was after the movie was shot and shown to audiences, which by all accounts hated the film. At least they are admitting they had to change things, even if it's not entirely honest (which Disney never will be there, and Mangold already hasn't been). The one honest person out there is John Williams. Nobody is going to tell him what to say.

3. The trailer takes a wholly different turn than the first one, yet is being so badly hammered on Youtube they've turned off negative comments for it. Still, Waller-Bridge's entire involvement in the movie has been reduced to a mere punchline. Telling? We will have to see.

It's the first part -- the budget -- that's so revealing and speaks to a very troubled production that they will have a difficult time brushing off.

Presumably all that re-cutting necessitated the over-90 minutes of music?

Also tellingly says the music has been recorded "on and off" since June which illustrates the movie has been heavily altered on the go through numerous test screenings.

Starting to feel like more confirmation of what we've been hearing for months now. If there's no torch being passed then there's no reason to hold a funeral.

Doomcock's latest updates confirms more and more changes are being applied and the ending is all new and has been worked on for weeks at this point. Since Waller Bridge's Indy TV show has been axed, these are probably all good ones...but make no mistake it's still a disaster $150 mil overbudget, and sounds like an all digital green screen mess.

Hilarious how so many on Twitter and at BR.com keep clinging to Mangold's denials that the ending is being reshot and tons of Fleabag footage is being jettisoned to remove as much of her "Go to bed, old man!" denigration of Indy as possible. The fact that Waller-Bridge has had all of TWO lines in the pair of trailers that have been released to date reeks of Disney realizing what a horrible mistake they made with her character, and are trying to minimize the damage,
