There were a lot of reports about that V sequel in the press some time ago...sadly it appeared (at least from the media stories) as if NBC passed on it.DavidBanner wrote:Kenny's response was: Because of bad writing!
Mac's response was a bit more complex. Initially, he answered, "Because I'm a dummy!" But he qualified that by saying that the only other person who had ever asked him that question before was his son. When he was 8 years old.
BTW if you check on Kenny's website, you will see information about a sequel to "V" which he has been trying to launch for the past few years. This would be a direct sequel to the original miniseries, completely bypassing the "Final Battle" and the series that flopped back in 1984. We'll have to see if the fates permit him to make it...

NBC did pass on it, but then Sci-Fi Channel began showing interest. (and they are part of the NBC group) But Sci-Fi wanted a brand new version of the show, a la Battlestar Galactica, which was not what Kenny had in mind. Then Warner Bros. had other ideas, including the possibility of a movie, but then they changed their minds. Currently, the project is continuing to linger in development - there are people looking at it, but it's obviously not a priority, and the likelihood of it happening isn't all that great. But you never know... His last gambit was pointing out how much money the original miniseries made on DVD, which was considerable, given that the show hasn't been around in 20 years...
