Thinking of getting the LADY SNOWBLOOD set.

Paul, have you ever seen any of the LONE WOLF AND CUB films? Any Criterion recommendations for Japanese films? I have all of Ozu's and Kurosawa's films.

I tried watching one of the Lone Wolf movies. I gave-up. It just didn't hold my attention.

Or...actually, I think I might have watched it -- but it was so unmemorable I can't recall a thing about it!

Also tried Lady Snowblood, and gave-up on that too! Very violent and bloody. But MJ is right -- it was a huge influence on Kill Bill.

For a fun, less-well-known samurai flick I personally recommend Three Outlaw Samurai.

Thanks Paul...THREE OUTLAW SAMURAI is due out on Criterion later this month, so I will check that out next time a sale comes around. As it stands, I ended up getting LONE WOLF and LADY SNOWBLOOD at 50% off on Amazon. Looking forward to exploring these films!

I'll have to re-settle the discs into new packaging (sleeves ), but otherwise a fantastic deal.
