If you're a Kill Bill fan, the Snowblood movies will be very interesting to watch.

Paul, have you ever seen any of the LONE WOLF AND CUB films? Any Criterion recommendations for Japanese films? I have all of Ozu's and Kurosawa's films.

I tried watching one of the Lone Wolf movies. I gave-up. It just didn't hold my attention.

Or...actually, I think I might have watched it -- but it was so unmemorable I can't recall a thing about it!

Also tried Lady Snowblood, and gave-up on that too! Very violent and bloody. But MJ is right -- it was a huge influence on Kill Bill.

For a fun, less-well-known samurai flick I personally recommend Three Outlaw Samurai.
