Don't think so, they didn't do HDR on Good Bad Ugly for a reason. They won't do it on those either. But as that disc showed, just doing some color correction can go a long way to making some gains over their Blu-Ray releases.

Hoping they might do The Pink Panther, that would be a good one for 4K HDR.

Also a good sign MGM is still doing deals for now!!

Hope springs eternal for sure but it's just never happening here. MGM's 4K master didn't have HDR, and Kino opted not to produce their own HDR pass for specific artistic and technical reasons. Obviously it sold well for them to do the other two Dollars movies -- which would only validate their decision -- and I can't see them not releasing similar 4K transfers in SDR just like The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, just to maintain some consistency and adhere to the same rationale for not employing HDR on them.

You're right, animation isn't a big interest of theirs, but that's a strong selling catalog title I'd imagine that's clearly ripe for remastering. Not sure if MGM has done it yet but it definitely requires a new scan (and would be kind of pointless to release without one). Question would obviously be whether it's available to them (it appears to be out of print right now?)

Given that Kino did the non-Sellers PINK PANTHER movies and released all of the Panther cartoons, I can see them doing those. The Shout Factory Blu-Ray is worth a fortune at this point, and I doubt MGM is holding onto it like Bond and Rocky.

It's currently $20 on Amazon, which isn't that expensive (especially for a movie that was selling at Dollar Tree not too long ago), but it used to be routinely under $10, so maybe copies are starting to dry up. I'd love to have a better-looking version of that, even if "just" on a remastered Blu. I doubt they could add many extras to it, given much of the voice cast is dead and the existing Blu already has a very good commentary track by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman, but I'd re-buy in a heartbeat for a better transfer. Wouldn't even wait for a sale period.

I know that a remake was kicked around seven or eight years back, so maybe MGM is waiting for that before considering a reissue of the original? Anyways, seems like a lot of Kino titles seem to come on the heels of a related soundtrack album release, or vice-versa, so they obviously know the benefits of cross-promotion.

^ Very nice! It'll make a good companion piece to the Scream Factory release, as I'm pretty sure this will have none of the exclusive interviews from that disc.

Shout only produced a couple of interviews for that release I think (one with Rob Reiner, another with the make-up guy), most were recycled from the old MGM Special Edition so if you can part with it, might as well get a few bucks if you can. (Though I think Hamilton Book still has it for $10 so I don't know how collectible it'll become).
