Just watching more of this and I can't say I like the 5.1 mix. The dialogue ought to be centered but it often bleeds out of other channels for no reason and comes off as muffled and inbalanced. The original 2.0 audio on the streaming version is much better though the Blu-Ray transfer is superior. Oh well I'll live with the disc but the sound is poor really.
So it's not just me. The songs sounded good and punchy, but they TOTALLY overpower the dialogue scenes, to the point where I had my finger poised over the volume button throughout. Shame they didn't offer the original audio.
It's so bad I actually thought my center channel connections had fallen out of the plugs because nothing was coming out of it!
The track almost sounds like it was damaged because it's so muffled. Maybe it's just the remix but whatever, the songs like you said overpower the dialogue. There's still discrete effects here and there but the whole thing is really poor.
The dialogue bleeding off the center is totally inexcusable. That's the sign of a screwed up mix because it's all the dialogue not just some lines here and there.
