Mangold does speak glowingly of John Williams tho, and admits he has tried to cajole the composer to release as long an album as possible...

No question there's a huge tonal shift between Fleabag's snark in the Super Bowl ad and this overall "Heroic Indy" advertisement that all but confirms they've been reshooting and reshooting and trying to release something that isn't a total embarrassment for fans to poop on.
I just find it confounding some people think James Mangold is a "great director" because he made a hugely overrated, downbeat super-hero movie that dared to kill off its lead. I guess maybe that's why they hired him here too -- only to find out nobody wanted that for Indiana Jones. Guess we'll find out for sure soon enough.

A little more info on Williams' contribution.
Apparently, the initial plan (according to the director) was for a "Superman IV" approach -- i.e. some new themes and someone else writing the actual dramatic score, but...
