QUILLER had a lackluster Blu-Ray release from Network in the UK (to put it mildly) several years back, and this is from a 4K remaster so it will blow the doors off it.
Glad I didn't order that region 2 DVD of Quiller a while back!
I remember there were problems.
Looking forward to the Twilight release.
What I can’t recommend is this home release. Why nobody at Network questioned the transfer is beyond me and it’s all the more disappointing that it was deemed acceptable to release it in this state. Hopefully at some point Network will realise the error of their ways and do justice to a film that still deserves to be seen nearly fifty years after its release. Until such a time, however, this release is one to avoid.

Is it bad that I've tried to watch
YANKS twice over the years, and have fallen asleep 10 minutes in each time?

THE PAPER CHASE is off the grid and THREE COINS IN THE FOUNTAIN is in.
Apparently another label had signed off on THE PAPER CHASE so TT isn't going to pursue it, electing instead to nab a 4K restoration of THREE COINS.

Wanted to follow up my column with a note about BEDAZZLED. I bought the German Blu-Ray which is framed closer to 2.55:1 and it's absolutely better. There is no question the TT disc looks like the wrong aspect ratio and is slightly squeezed.

That bad news on "Bedazzled" and the aspect ratio is why I passed on it for now. Nothing else at this point interests me. Stuff I might have upgraded to five years ago like a "Morirturi" I no longer have the enthusiasm to do so.

Three movies from the 40s and a film nobody has ever heard of? That's rough.

I'm going to get "President's Lady" so I can FINALLY retire the off-air recording of mine in which I have to put up with the "hosting" of Orville Reddenbacher and grandson Gary!

Brian is hoping to release more titles in 2020 -- guess we will find out but Haineshisway has his own opinion from the HTF board:
How could anybody interpret the original post Brad made as saying anything other than what it was - the word SELL being the operative and key word. No more releases for 2019 and they're trying to sell off existing stock. Make of that what you will. Julie won't be making any statements because she has not been treated well and has, for the time being, stepped completely away.

Not sure what being "treated well" has to do with writing booklet notes. I would imagine the only thing that could mean is something related to money.
Let's be honest -- these titles over the last year would be hard pressed to sell 1000 units, never mind 3000. Old Fox studio films from the 30s-60s, and not ones with major profiles, are a hard sell at this point in time. I would think that TT knew that, and they must have been leftovers from pre-negotiated deals with Fox before Disney bought the library.
I'm not sure it's totally over though -- businesses like these are often floating on the fringe, so it's possible a little "reorganizing" and some smartly licensed titles might make a return feasible for Brian. However, I don't think releasing 4 monthly titles as obscure as many of their recent releases have been IS feasible. So either the type of title they license changes, or they go to a more infrequent schedule. Either way I hope he's able to work it out.
