Shout's OMEN 1-4 (with the new scan of 1) box is down to $25!
Shades of that MAD MAX disc they can't give away (under $10 and dropping lol)

Is that the original
Mad Max or
Fury Road?

Shout did their own Collectors Edition of the original Mad Max which they had difficulty selling because you can still find it for $10. It has the same transfer as the MGM disc but different extras. It's out of print but is easy to find and cheap.
Kino Lorber also just released their own Blu-Ray and 4k UHD of the original Max which is new this week. It has mostly the same extras plus a new George Miller interview. Obviously the 4K enhancement is the big draw.

Actually, people have said the Shout release of
Mad Max looks slightly worse than the MGM Blu. Plus, the interviews with Mel Gibson and the actress who played his wife have that
awful, stuttering video on the movie clips that a lot of Shout releases do.

Oh I'm aware -- I referenced all of those things in my review, though the transfer
is the same, the only difference is Shout's encoding is not as good as the old MGM/Fox disc. And I wasn't recommending it -- just making the point that it's cheap

E.T. 4K/Blu-Ray/CD gift set just $12 --
Cheaper than the "regular" 4K UHD release

Fudge!
I already bought the previous
E.T. 4k disc.
Is the soundtrack CD which is included on this new release the excellent 40th Anniversary CD, or the crummy 30th Anniversary one?

Good question. I doubt it's the Lalaland remaster, probably just the lame 30th Anniversary that my friend Laurent produced.

Actually, it's apparently a remaster of the original soundtrack album only. Says "newly remastered" also.

I think I had my years mixed up!
The Bouzereau one is the 25th anniversary, and the later one the 35th, right?
In any case, I'd assume they just took the Mattesino-remastered album tracks and troweled them onto a single CD. The bottom-line is this CD isn't anything we don't already have, I assume?

Yes I think that's right!
This is just a remaster of the LP, could be from Matessino's mix, I dunno

No unique musical content.
