Official INDIANA JONES Title is...

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL
....forgettable? Lame? Too long? All of the above?
I keep forgetting it. Sure, we all might've thought THE PHANTOM MENACE sounded weird off the bat, but at least it was short.
RAIDERS, TEMPLE OF DOOM, LAST CRUSADE...and this title? Which one doesn't fit?

Sounds more like a videogame title.
Meh, it's ok.

I think it's way too long. And forgettable.

I agree.
Hopefully the movie won't be.

They should have shortened it to
Indiana Jones And The Crystal Skull.

Would've made more sense.

It's like, Raiders Of The Lost Ark is succinct and punchy, but Indiana Jones And The Raiders Of The Lost Ark is cumbersome.

Yeah.
INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL is too long.

If the movie is better than TEMPLE OF DOOM, I really don't care how long the title is. . .

Didn't like TEMPLE OF DOOM I take it?
I think given Spielberg's uneasy and, at least for me, disappointing genre excursions of late this one will have a difficult time living up to all three of the earlier movies. Plus it has Janusz Kaminski shooting it.
I'll be there but I have my doubts.

I love the opening number of TOD

, but Capshaw and the kid usually make me pop out the disc afterwards. Plus, the whole dinner sequence is just plain yucko, but I do like the scene where Ford and the kid are in the spike chamber, especially the look on Ford's face when they reopen the place-priceless!
Check out the MAD magazine parody-they have Lucas and Spielberg off to the side from time to time and at one point one of them says "now we're going to speed things up!" and the reaction of the cast says it all! The parody is 10x better than the film (the same can be said of the current issue with SPIDEY 3).

Hey, Andy, could you possibly edit your first post and remove that
GIGANTIC image that's stretching out this thread? Thanks.

I'll forgive the title if the movie is good! I have high hopes after AI, Minority Report, War of the Worlds and Munich.

I guess I'm in the minority that prefers the kinetic, thrilling
Temple Of Doom to the jokey, defanged
Last Crusade...

Probably.
