LABOR Day Weekend Box-Office Results

Thought it would be interesting to post these as summer winds down.
Some interesting tidbits:
-THE MUMMY 3 will pass the $100 million mark domestic. That's not bad considering how bad it was! It's done even better overseas, so I don't think we've seen the last of the series.
-JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH 3D astounds me. This movie didn't even gross $20 million in its first weekend and is up to $95 million domestic. Could maybe pass $100 million too.
-THE CLONE WARS Animated movie didn't do great -- but did they think it would? Everyone knows it's a TV series and this is like a launching pad for it...so $30 million isn't horrid really. They opened it in mid August too.
-The surprisingly well liked HOUSE BUNNY with Anna Faris has already turned a profit.
-TROPIC THUNDER has been #1 for several weeks and will pass $100 million. The other R rated August comedy PINEAPPLE EXPRESS has hit $80 million and will turn a huge profit on its budget.
-Fox had a horrible summer...BABYLON AD sums it up.
