[The Pessimist]

I've gotta give Lynch his due. I don't understand the entire premise. It's about getting out of the movie's curse. But I like what an Amazoner said about what he accomplished: it was the most horrific thing he'd ever seen without it ever delving into blood & guts. A good amount of his stuff I don't really understand, but as a piece of mood I'm not sure there's any better combination than Lynch & Badalamenti. For me his greatest achievement was Mulholland Drive and how he added concretes with the abstract.

I did something with this movie I don't think I've ever done, which is watch it one day, and the next day, when I got home from work, I put it in and watched it all over again.
