I am avoiding it like the plague....Holmes a la Jackie Chan doesn't appeal to me at all. Why mess with a character that hasn't had any problems inspiring the imaginations of generations of readers? Looks like they're crossing a line here, and frankly I don't see Downey Jr. as Holmes at all. I'm looking forward to your review of the film Andy!

Light and/or comedic Holmes interpretations have happened so many times over the years -- WITHOUT A CLUE, a terrific Michael Caine-Ben Kingsley film from 1988, being one of them. This looks like it's a bit in that vein, with a dash of action-adventure a la YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES, and I'm ready to give it a go if it's on that level. (Of course Guy Ritchie hasn't turned in this kind of movie before, and I'm not his biggest fan either, but maybe it's time he surprised me).
Plus Rachel McAdams too...very nice.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Alas, Hans Zimmer scoring....but we'll see what he does.
