An' it's about bloomin' time if ye ask me. Too bad the opening credits use the watered-down version of the theme song from the Toon Disney reruns. :(

I really liked Rescue Rangers when it was on TV- I think it used to preceed or follow Duck Tales? Or what was the name of that Superhero Duck in the purple cape (and I'm not thinking about Daffy Duck's Scarlet Pumpernickel)? Anyway, Rescue Rangers ruled. Glad to hear this is coming out.

Like my username didn't tip you off. 8)

I've watched most of the episodes on the first disc, and despite some clumsy edits to eliminate act breaks, the transfers look pretty good. Ah, nostalgia... :D

That's Darkwing Duck you're talking about. "Let's get dangerous!"

Hopefully the new Rescue Rangers and Duck Tales sets will sell enough copies to allow the release of DW and other "Disney Afternoon" shows like Tale Spin and Gummi Bears.

They did do a nice job with this set and Duck Tales, which is unfortunate they didn't do the same for their MUPPET DVD remasters: they're a crushing disappointment, at least on MUPPET MOVIE and GREAT MUPPET CAPER (they're nearly the same transfers as the old Columbia TriStar DVDs!).

And MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL they ruined for putting (as the packaging states) "EXTENDED VERSION with Deleted Scene in FULL-SCREEN!" and the shorter cut in 16:9.....

MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND is fine, of course -- it's always the weak link in the chain that gets the best treatment.

NICE! I love it!!!!! Steven Spielmunk???

Any news about the TINY TOONS HOW I SPENT MY VACATION movie coming out on DVD? Or the show?? TINY TOONS and RESCUE RANGERS and DARKWING DUCK are the only three "newer" cartoons I've watched and enjoyed in the past 20 years. Not much out there that I enjoy.

OOPS! I forgot THE SIMPSONS and FUTURAMA. I know you like FAMILY GUY Andy, but I just can't get into it.

Michael, sorry you can't get into it. Last week's episode -- including the ROCKY IV training montage -- was one of the best yet! (as has this whole season).

I will check into the TINY TOONS.
