Sure the "Tomato Meter" is low but there have been a number of surprisingly positive reviews from major critics, including Mike Clark:

I have a free ticket that came in a promotion with MGM/Sony's Panther DVDs, so I may check this out next week.

The only thing about this film that doesn't look horrible (or, as Steve Martin would say, "Ooorible!") is Beyonce Knowles.

I agree the movie looks bad. But, I'm equally surprised it's been getting the few decent reviews that it has. It's a movie I'd like to be "good," since I enjoyed the originals...though the trailers are hideous.

As of Sunday afternoon I think this movie pulled in something like $21.7 million....I am absolutely shocked at this figure. Are you kidding me??? Has anyone seen this film yet? This still doesn't motivate me to want to go and see it.

Hey, again, a few people liked it...and even in the negative reviews, the movie didn't get the kinds of "so bad it's unwatchable" press it had garnered over the months.

I've seen movies with bad trailers before turn out OK -- who knows, maybe this is one of them?

The one person I wouldn't want to be right now is Harrison Ford. Not only did FIREWALL look like junk ("get away from my family!") but apparently it IS junk. Ford is on the kind of career-killing run Sean Connery was on for a while when he broke out of Bond for the first time.

I guess I'm just a die-hard Peter Sellers/Inspector Clouseau person. I cannot accept Steve Martin as Clouseau. It's my shortcoming. It also makes me mad that a younger demographic will probably not look back at the original comic genius of Peter Sellers and what he brought to the character. They will see Martin as clouseau and that makes me more mad. Oh well- life goes on.

This is what I was afraid of when Lucas took so much time with INDY 4- Ford's movements look very awkward, forced, and this movie just looks like a poor attempt to remake RANSOM (Mel Gibson) and cross it with some kind of DIE HARD action. I understand that about Clouseau...I actually thought Kevin Kline would have been a better choice for that part than playing Dreyfus!

Interesting- $66+ million for BROKEBACK. FIREWALL looked like it didn't do so hot.
