Re: The review of "Ten Little Indians" on DVD. This is indeed the best of the remakes that have been made of the 1945 classic "And Then There Were None" (I always liked that title better). There was a 1959 live TV version on NBC that was so-so (hindered by the one hour format), and the less said of the 1975 and 1989 versions, the better!
And yes, the ending in each of these versions (as well as the original '45 film) is taken from Christie's stage version of the novel, because the dark ending of the novel just wouldn't translate well at all in the dramatic medium (IMO at least).
I would have preferred the "Whodunnit" break be restored to the film itself, since it was part of the original theatrical cut, but it was at least nice to have seen it in the supplement.
