so whaddaya think about the trailer? looks really good... awesome effects and designs... I even dare to say that it looks pretty inspirign for a good score.
Well, so far almost all summer movies look really promising... only POSEIDON I guess wil be a dud... the reviews are pretty bad already... at least it has a runtime of only 95 minutes, so I guess it can hardly be boring. The CD features only 27 minutes of score.. lol... and what I already heard of it was pretty bad... well, Klaus Badelt.. what do you expect?

Hey easy on the Badelt there -- I liked his PIRATES score! (It's curious -- a lot of people have commented on message boards how disappointing it is that his original PIRATES theme ISN'T in the trailer!).
For what it's worth, PIRATES 2 has the best trailer of the summer. It LOOKS terrific, and I have more faith in Verbinski and the cast to turn out a terrific, rollicking sequel that ought (hopefully) to be as much fun as the original.
POSEIDON is only 95 minutes?

How is that even possible given that story and the amount of characters? Crazy!

I am really looking forward to POTC 2....Johnny Depp will do at least as good of a job in this one as he did in the first.
I am also excited about X3, SUPERMAN RETURNS, and LADY IN THE WATER (or whatever it's called).....maybe APOCALYPTO.

I'm also excited about APOCALYPTO but it got bumped to December.

I just hope this one isn't as ridiculously overlong as the first film, which needed severe trimming a lot more than
King Kong.

At least Keira Knightley's cleavage will be on display again.

Well at least Pirates didn't have Jimmy the Cabin Boy. Still trying to figure out what the point of that was...

maybe that you have at least one person Kong kills you care about. But wait, I didn't give a damn about Jimmy and his black father figure or whatever...
yeah, POTC 1 was a bit too long, but Im afraid part 2 will be at least 2h 10 minutes...
how refreshing to hear that POSEIDON only lasts 95 minutes!!!

PIRATES' length was no problem for me. POSEIDON being 95 minutes, we'll have to see how that works but it generally means all effects and no character development, especially with an ensemble cast like it has.
