I showed El Cid to a couple of friends of mine years ago, and in the final scene, when they hoist the Cid's dead body onto the horse, one of my friends said "Weekend at Bernie's?"

Part of me was a little annoyed because it was a solemn moment -- I but I couldn't deny it made me laugh!
