The soundtrack CD isn't a port of the Meco LP? Now THAT'S interesting.

I'd expect the movie to be available on 4K UHD in a number of countries but I may have to preorder this, even at the high price tag, just for that very reason.

If that soundtrack CD contained the Elmer Bernstein score, that'd be worth a quadruple-dip.

Allegedly that's what this is. Hmmm.

Either way I used up my Paypal funds so we'll see. Between that and the Xbox Series X it's been a pricey morning, I will quit while I'm ahead :D

Sold out! That was fast. I'm sure there will be a regular edition (both here and elsewhere) but it won't have the soundtrack CD.

Glad I ordered, all $80 of it!

Arrow Video will release a SteelBook Edition of John Landis' An American Werewolf in London (1981), starring David Naughton, Jenny Agutter, Griffin Dunne, John Woodvine, and Brian Glover. The release will be available for purchase on February 23.

Synopsis: One of the greatest directors of the 1980s, John Landis (The Blues Brothers, Trading Places), expertly combines macabre horror with dark humor in the lycanthropic classic, An American Werewolf in London.

American tourists David (David Naughton) and Jack (Griffin Dunne) are savaged by an unidentified vicious animal whilst hiking on the Yorkshire Moors. David awakes in a London hospital to find his friend dead and his life in disarray. Retiring to the home of a beautiful nurse (Jenny Agutter, Walkabout) to recuperate, he soon experiences disturbing changes to his mind and body, undergoing a full-moon transformation that will unleash terror on the streets of the capital...

An American Werewolf in London had audiences howling with laughter and recoiling in terror upon its cinema release. Landis film has gone on to become one of the most important horror films of its decade, rightly lauded for its masterful set-pieces, uniquely unsettling atmosphere and Rick Baker s truly ground-breaking, Oscar-winning special makeup effects. Everybody in the USA still waiting for the barge with the 4K UHD copies from Turbine to cross the Atlantic. The Arrow release is fine and all, but it's just a reissue of their pre-existing set -- and I want to hear the soundtrack CD!!

How is the shipping from them? I have found several outlets now don't ship outside the UK, but I still have a few options left. As a last resort, I could always get family members to send it onto me.

From Arrow? I've ordered from them a few times, it works out OK but right now nobody is using any kind of "economy"/surface shipping pretty much -- only express/priority because of reliability and cost. It's why Amazon UK/DE/FR shipping is so expensive to the USA now. I ordered about 10 titles during the Indicator sale just to offset their 20 pound shipping fee (free ship was over 200 pounds and I couldnt get there). Otherwise I've been buying a few imports off Ebay because Amazon's intl shipping is so high.

Is there anything that unique to the Arrow release other than the Steelbook package? They released the limited edition in the USA, it was the same as the UK release. Are they out of print? If so, I can't imagine they won't revisit this title again as a 4K UHD eventually, in which case you may be better off waiting to see if it happens, since they'd release it in the USA as well as the UK and it'd be a lot cheaper than paying to import this right now.
