Yeah, I guess blink and you'll miss it. A lot of the prices seem to be regular retail price as of this writing. If I am reading correctly, this current sale ends today? I see a couple of better prices on Amazon. It's tough to stay on top of tthis.

I think some of them aren't live yet. The steelbooks ARE live. They're all Black Friday prices, though they're supposed to be live before then.

It's not an "expired sale" -- it's what's coming if it's not live now. If that makes any sense.

I don't know. Some of them are definitely live right now, I've clicked on a few titles, and Amazon has a few price matched, but others aren't live like you said Ed. I don't think there's much rhyme or reason but I would bookmark what you might be interested in and just check in and see as we go forward.

Paul, have you ever seen any of the LONE WOLF AND CUB films? Any Criterion recommendations for Japanese films? I have all of Ozu's and Kurosawa's films.

They're a different breed than "serious" samurai films, a little wilder and wackier. Personally I like the American-abbreviated 90-minute highlight reel, SHOGUN ASSASSIN (which is also in the box), myself. Either way they are a fun "70s experience"...but may not be what you guys into "high brow" Japanese cinema are looking for. They are a LOT more "grindhouse" than Kurosawa.

I don't mind non-serious Japanese stuff...lol...I think I will give LWaC a try as well as Lady Snowblood.

Although not Japanese, I did buy the Bruce Lee Criterion box set back when it was released and am having fun with that. Tons of great stuff on those Blu-Rays. If those interested can get it at 50% off, it is well worth the money for the content.

For what it's worth I enjoyed the Lone Wolf movies more than Lady Snowblood. Now's the time to buy in any event as they say
