Good tell-all article on Johnny's implosion in the Hollywood Reporter has a number of tidbits:

-Depp is getting paid his full $16 million on FANASTIC BEASTS 3 even though he's been fired and recast (even after shooting a scene)

-Production on PIRATES 5 was shut down, costing Disney $350,000 for 2 weeks worth of lost shooting after Depp ingested eight ecstasy pills at once and went crazy

So, it's likely possible that Amber Heard is not the villain here? I hope that she isn't, because I WANT to root for her success and think that it was really Depp who was the abuser. It's sad, because I also like(d) him.

Sounds like she was dealing with a total nut and, I agree, his downfall is incredibly sad. Depp was one of the few "movie stars" left of this generation who could sell tickets on a variety of projects -- not all of them, but quite a few as you can see on that list. Somewhere along the line he lost it, along with the ability to play a "normal person", which likely speaks to his increasing disconnect with reality itself. Just pathetic.
