Netflix Re-Edits FINAL DESINTATION

#1 Post by AndyDursin »

Not that I care about FINAL DESTINATION but this kind of selective "edited for Netflix" tampering is right in line with Disney+ editing SPLASH for "family audiences" a year ago. We'll be seeing more editing/censorship/whatever you want to call it as we go forward, right in line with where our political class is taking us in terms of censoring discourse in general.

Despite the fact that article reads like a 4th grade term paper, I think I understood the explanation!

So...I guess any potentially "triggering" scene (or even shot) needs to be removed to appease a tiny fraction of the audience.

I wonder if the studios would change the scores if I wrote and complained I was triggered by Hans Zimmer's music?

This is why physical media will always trump streaming...you can't have someone edit your movies at a whim to appease some bullcrap snowflake whining. :?

You thought it was that well written?

I searched for another article to no avail. I wonder if some of these things are produced with speech recognition, but that's probably giving the author too much credit for their writing ability.
