Wonderful, lovely presence in so many great TV shows and proved she could do good in movies too ("Grand Prix", "Number One". She'll get more attention over "Play Misty For Me" no doubt). I didn't watch any of the recent stuff that was allowing her career to continue right up to the presence but it's great she had a long, full career.

She had played Shatner's wife in his short-lived TV series "For The People" which aired a year and a half before Trek. Originally, she was supposed to play Miranda Jones in "Is There In Truth No Beauty?" but became unavailable which is why Diana Muldaur got her second go-round on Trek.
