Always liked this one -- great score by David Arnold, romantic, engaging "old fashioned" adventure with a good premise. A little awkward in execution at times but I definitely enjoyed it
Kino Lorber's remaster includes the theatrical version with Wilford Brimley's grafted-on narration plus the original version without it too. Siskel & Ebert gave it two thumbs up but both mentioned Brimley and that narration -- though it doesn't entirely sound out of place since it more or less establishes the movie as a kind of romantic "fable". It's just very obviously a post-production addition.
Not sure what's up with the MISSOURI BREAKS artwork though!
