This one I remember renting on VHS (or seeing on Cinemax) as it was one of numerous MGM/UA movies that scarcely ever played in theaters outside NYC/LA -- main draw is JC in her prime.
I don't recall the film being that good either, as a Robert Redford production it was less a John Hughes teen comedy than a moody, Canadian shot "atmosphere" piece. Maybe worth a look for other reasons.

Did anyone score more onscreen than Dempsey back in the day? Lol

Antonio Banderas was giving him a run for his money in the 90s and early 00s. Connelly, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Rebecca DeMornay, Salma Hayek, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos...

What's sad watching this last night is that JC didn't just have her breasts worked on (though she keeps the clothes on here as I think she was only a year or two out from Labyrinth).
She's much cuter in the days before she had her nose worked on also. Also is a little plusher in this picture too (the movie is a mess though!)

There isn't a more tragic example of an actress who was so beautiful in her heyday intentionally sabotaging that beauty moving into middle age more than Connelly (although Courteney Cox runs a close second )
It's been hilarious to see, amongst the hossanahs of praise showered upon Top Gun: Maverick, people rhapsodizing about "How beautiful!" Connelly still is, like they'll be tarred and feathered for "agism" if they don't. Maybe Connelly wasn't as terrifyingly skinny as she has been in the past in Maverick, but it should not be off the table to admit that she hasn't aged well, and hasn't looked vibrant and healthy since the 90s.
