Absolute doldrums in theaters with nothing to see for weeks (or, for most of us, months) on end -- so this is not going to be the last announcement of its kind coming up. I'd expect we'll be seeing this kind of thing in the US as well.

How Hollywood gets out of the box they've put themselves into is going to be a major problem for the forseeable future.

Maybe if Hollywood would make something that inspires people to actually go to the movies...
