^^ At first I thought Brietbart had been hoodwinked by an April Fool's joke, courtesy of Variety. Then I saw the date of the Breitbart article -- March 28th.
As if I didn't have enough reasons to avoid the cinema like the plague already.
Trivia: pot smokers are the original reason Jerry Goldsmith's score was thrown out of Legend...

Actual movie fans don't need weed, texting, overly ornate novelty popcorn buckets, pickleball or ziplines...we just want good projection, clear sound, comfy seats, reasonable ticket/concession prices and, oh yeah, movies worth leaving one's home for. All this sh!t is distracting gimmickry that will only drive dedicated movie fans away and only bring in a wave of rude, obnoxious twats.

Here's that original Variety article.
Take Kev Jones, who was smoking a joint outside the AMC Times Square on a March weeknight before a screening of “Mickey 17.” “It helps to loosen me up and puts me in a sci-fi frame of mind,” he says, taking a big hit. “But honestly, I smoke before every movie.”
Jones, a member of AMC’s Stubs A-List, which allows moviegoers to attend several screenings a week for a flat fee, is a frequent guest, and he says he would come more often if he could buy and smoke pot at the theater. “How fun would that be?” he says. “They have a bar here so that people can relax and enjoy a drink. I’d love to relax on my own terms.”
And the problem with that is that ALL OF US will be "relaxing on your own terms". Smelling pot is like being next to someone's bad body odor -- and it's not like we can grab the Irish Spring to detox the area around your personal space.
