EXCLUSIVE: Amazon MGM Studios has landed worldwide distribution rights to The Beekeeper 2 in a deal pegged by sources at comfortably north of $50M.

Jason Statham will reprise his role in the sequel, which is due to start production in the fall. As we previously revealed, Timo Tjahjanto (Nobody 2) is set to direct the film from a screenplay by Umair Aleem. Miramax is producing and negotiated the deal with Amazon.
