What can I say? Will be sorely missed.

Death finally built up the courage to meet him.

While he was probably the most celebrated martial artist to emerge from the west, he was sadly never offered the choicest roles when Hollywood came calling. He certainly had a stronger screen presence than someone like Steven Segal (who got offered higher-concept projects -- yet whose career fizzled within a few years).

I admit most of his films weren't my kind of thing, but as someone who practiced martial arts myself, I have enormous veneration for him as a martial artist.

Rest in Peace, Sensei Chuck.

Chuck's acting range wasn't phenomenal but there's no doubt the Cannon era produced some gems like THE DELTA FORCE and the MISSING IN ACTION movies (at least the 1st and 3rd ones). His early action fare is pretty pokey, but he got it together for Andrew Davis' strong CODE OF SILENCE which is worth checking out.

RIP to one of the great "action heroes" of the 80s!

Here's a classic Conan clip, complete with guest star Haley Joel Osment...

Variety couldn't help themselves. I had to say something.

Those types simply can't help themselves. I noticed that it says the post you responded to was deleted.

It's remarkable they've taken down the original post TWICE and reposted it -- probably to "refresh" the flood of negative comments they've gotten.

Here's the latest post that leads to the article:

Just watched Code of Silence. Never seen it before and it was pretty awesome. RIP Chuck.
