There's just something about it that seems to smack of being legit -- the way it's written, it comes off like an internal studio document. Plus all the scenes in the trailer match up with it as well (certainly seems like the crew and Charlize "mutate"), so as of now, I'm buying it
The new trailer premieres tonight along with a 30 minute Q&A with Scott and cast members at 7pm (EST) exclusively at AMC Theaters. You can see it live at Facebook too:
I really hope that's another misdirection plant but somehow I have this sinking feeling it isn't. I'd say honestly about the only thing I liked out of what I read there was the item that details the eventual space jockey.
The trailer is great. Reminds me of the time when I was young and I saw A L I E N thinking it to be the some SCI- FI Star Wars'ish EPIC Fantasy and boy, it petrified me. If this film delivers or not ; I think it will great on the same scale as Avatar but Iam really excited to see 'Ripley' Scott get back on the sci-fi genre. This could just be the beginning and he would probably do more sci-fi type epics going forward. Lets hope so.

"Harry Gregson Williams Yup. This ones mine! Are you in to music and scores? Im currently working on Total Recall, Mr Pip & Prometheus. "
Love the one guy that asks:
Without giving anything away, could you tell us if it's in the vein of Goldsmith's Alien score? Huge fan BTW!
Supposed leaked script. I think it's probably legit. Same concepts keep coming up. My interest level is deflated a bit for reasons I mentioned earlier.
I'm sure it'll be a good movie but I'm not "dying" to see it at this rate.
The writers just tweeted to Harry at AICN (who "reviewed" this "leaked draft") that he's been duped. It's hilarious reading the comments because everyone is ragging on him as it's obviously a fraud piece of fan fiction.
That script is so horribly, laughably written it wouldn't work in an Ed Wood film. There's no way on earth it's real...how did he not know?!?
I mean, if you're going to write a fake, do it so it resembles a professional piece of writing. That synopsis I wrote up before looks, and reads, a lot more "authentic" -- whether it turns out to be real, we'll just have to see.
LONDON (AP) — Sir Ridley Scott has launched his spaceship "Prometheus" in London.
The British director showed a 3D montage of his much-anticipated sci-fi thriller Tuesday for the first time — his return to the genre after classics like "Alien" and "Bladerunner."
Stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace were also there to see themselves onboard "Prometheus" in 3D.
The excerpts showed their mission to a distant planet, following clues from ancient civilizations about signs of alien life.
Scott admits the film developed out of his earlier sci-fi stories, but says it evolved from a prequel or a sequel into a far distant relation. He says "now the actual connection to the original 'Alien' is barely in its DNA."
"Prometheus" is due for release this summer.
