Cinema's on life support. This says it pretty clearly.

I keep seeing advertisements for a national $3.00 per movie cinema day (something like that) to get people back in theaters. There is nothing that interests me so even cheap prices aren't going to get me back into theaters at this point.

Saw that too. And, exactly Michael, that's the whole problem. I don't go to the movies just to "go to the movies". With little to no content it's going to be a death spiral for the industry. I mean great AVATAR 2 and BLACK PANTHER 2 are there for the masses (wow, 2 movies in the next 4 months! lol) but I'm not sure there's a single movie left on the 2022 calendar that's going to get me back into theaters. Feeling like it's going to be 2023 before I go to a theater again.

I would definitely go to the cinema if they had more revival showings of classics.

I went to see Ben-Hur a number of years ago -- which was phenomenal on the big screen. I'd pay to see Lawrence of Arabia, Spartacus, Alien, Raiders, Blade Runner, any classic Bond movie, etc. on the big screen again. But I could not care less about MCU movies.

Jaws is hitting the big screen tomorrow (the ultimate summer movie...on Labor Day weekend! ), so I'm gonna roll out for an IMAX screening. :)

Meh. Nothing around me except 3D and that's an easy no-go.
