This movie cleaned up overseas though, which is the reverse of a schism this year where movies that performed well in the U.S. bombed/underperformed overseas (WICKED, TWISTERS, BEETLEJUICE 2).

Yet Mufasa's still gonna take in $250 million less than The Lion King did in its worldwide bow five years ago.AndyDursin wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2024 3:06 pm This movie cleaned up overseas though, which is the reverse of a schism this year where movies that performed well in the U.S. bombed/underperformed overseas (WICKED, TWISTERS, BEETLEJUICE 2).

Looks like this will romp this week with the kids out of school.
Mufasa” came roaring back to life yesterday with $14.7 million. After a very slow start, “Mufasa” can pull itself out of a hole now as other family friendly films like “Moana 2” and “Wicked” have exhausted their audiences.
