"Fun for fans. I may be wrong but -- if memory serves -- this is the very first game show released in the DVD medium"
That's true for a DVD set devoted to a game show but a couple vintage game show episodes have made their way out on DVD in other sets. Season 2 of the "Dick Van Dyke Show" has a full episode of the 1962 game show "Stump The Stars" (complete with commercials) that features the Van Dyke Show cast playing, while Season 1 of the "Twilight Zone" has an episode of Rod Serling hosting the syndicated 1969 game show "Liars Club."
