Basic Instinct 2 trailer with cool Goldsmith variation

#1 Post by romanD »

it's out: http://www.hollywood.com/content/traile ... f=2&pref=1

looks pretty boring, pretty bad trailer...

saw another marketing thing recently, an inoffcial or whatever which featured minutes of sex scenes, which were very graphic, but lousy and it all loked very cheap...

anyhow... the official trailer now may be boring and give away the whole movie, but the music. wow! ok first it's the BI theme we all love, but when the action kicks in they have Jerry's unused finale and made a cool groovy, modern actionpiece out of it which could become a hit as a dance version... lol.. I like it a lot.
If that is what the score by John Murphy (oh my) will be like then Im very excited abou the score. It may be, as he is not an orchestral composer and may take all the material by Jerry (which couldn't be improved on by anyone nyhow) and make this groovy versions out of it. Would be interesting, don't you think?

besides the awful trailer Im looking forward to the movie as it will be a trash treasure for years to come...

:-)

What's funny is that the other day, I believe Moviehole was mentioning RAMBO IV with Stallone (who is now, apparently, going to direct as well), and they threw John Murphy's name out there as a composer.

Is he the Goldsmith heir (at least in terms of following a big-time movie with a Goldsmith score) for the time being?
